Elana Premack Sandler Bio
Elana Premack Sandler, LCSW, MPH, is a Prevention Specialist at the
national Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). She earned a Master of
Social Work and a Master of Public Health at Boston University and is a
licensed social worker. Her career has been focused on violence and injury prevention. She
has worked on sexual, domestic, and dating violence prevention, school
violence prevention, and suicide prevention. She has experience
working in community settings and community-based organizations, with
schools, and consulting to statewide entities. She also has interests
in health communication and social marketing and a background in
journalism. Sandler is the author of a blog hosted on the Psychology Today website,
called "Promoting Hope, Preventing Suicide."
